CLINK STREET INTRODUCTIONS
Clink Street Ceramics / James Sims
Summer 2022
Our first display featured a range of our own work as an introduction to our practice. Our pieces are inspired by explorations of form and colour, and seek to bring an emotional dimension to pottery. Our functional forms in terracotta explore the natural textures of the clay. Our stoneware pieces include larger pots and bowls featuring glazes formulated mainly from materials such as feldspar and kaolin, whilst our earthenware pots include faceted work with efflorescences in the glaze. All of our forms are evolved from things that people have needed, from bowls to larger vessels, and engage a variety of techniques.
