Clink Street ‘88 Series
Staffordshire Stoneware clay, Sunshine glaze, ceramic in-glaze transfers.
Edition of only 10. Each piece is stamped and numbered.
During the summer of 1988 there were a series of Acid House raves and parties in Soho Wharf in Clink Street. The series of “RIP Parties” were the birth place of Acid House in the UK and for many it was the first time they had heard this music. This is the first in our Clink Street ‘88 Series, which celebrate this important cultural event which contributed so much to the development of UK dance music and culture.
Hand thrown and fired to 1,220°C.

These limited edition pots are made, glazed, and fired by studio potter James Sims in a small studio in Central London. The handmade nature of the work means that each item will vary slightly making them unique pieces of pottery.
